As the sun goes down and the temperatures follow, we like to go to the rooftop and enjoy the sunset and evening breeze. The more I look at this land, the more it reminds me of what the Middle East must look like.
From front to back, Josiah, one of my students (more about my class later), Stephen, from South Africa, Lordienne from Cameroon, Taylor, student and daughter, and Merilyn, sister of Josiah and also my student. We are enjoying an evening on the rooftop while loud Muslim prayers are broadcast from all directions via large outdoor loudspeakers. The neighbors rooftop is home to a herd of goats.

Hi Klines!
Hey, cool site. I've never "blogged" before. I'll be sure and clean up any messes before I leave.
We SO much admire you guys for going through all of this to become better equipped to serve God. Your willingness to endure illness and less than comfortable conditions to learn new skills is inspiring!
What a small world. We saw Taylor just a few days ago touring the Dead Sea Scrolls, and here she is in Senegal. What a great adventure for her. By comparison, a big adventure for our little ones is going to Costco.
And oh by the way, the neighborhood just isn't the same without you. Property values have already started to plummet. In the panic many people are selling their homes. Their have been several Century 21....er, Coldwell Banker signs going up. Come back soon so order can be restored.
Keep walking in the Spirit!
Jon Wiley
So that's the roof you were talking about in the email you sent me.
