Our African Christmas Tree

I was mesmerized by this tree on my trip to rural Africa. It stood outside one of the medical clinics we visited. Rural Africa is breathtaking. Hopefully I will post a blog of the trip today. We wanted you to all see what our Christmas tree looks like. If you look closely, you will see a family of monkeys on the lower left branch, and a giraffe, directly behind the tree eating leaves. A clan of elephants are grazing on Sub Sahara grass about 700 meters behind and to the left of the tree. We miss you all!

Grandpa,
I don't know your e-mail address and my dad is asleep so I can't ask him. But I wanted to write you and tell you Happy Birthday and that I love you very much. I am feeling better except that I miss you!
